Why Honey? was established in 2008 and its goal is to establish a sustainable honey production program in the Southern Cape region based on Fair Trade principles. Emphesys is placed on Fynbos honey due to abundance of Fynbos in the region as well as the health benefits of Fynbos honey.
To ensure the sustainable availability of quality natural raw honey to the communities of the Southern Cape. The protection and development of the bees of the region in order to ensure pollination of the Fynbos areas. Education of the public about bees and their vital role in nature.
Community development trough the training and development of local bee keepers.
